Elliot Kramer, a former editor of Dateline:
Middle East
and an M.A. political science graduate of Georgetown University,
recently published his book on the Middle East conflict,
"A TIME FOR TRUTH" (click
here).
A Time for Truth (Montreal, 2001)
contains 100+ responses
to common misconceptions about the Middle East.
In his introduction, Elliot Kramer writes:
"Since September 1993 Israel has been under attack. The war against the
Jewish State is being waged against all Jews in the cities and towns of Israel
and also in the international media. It is the same anti-Western war that struck
the United States on September 11, 2001. It is a war against democracy, freedom
and human rights. Any person who believes in these principles needs to know the
truth about the conflict and be able to recognize the lies that we are all being
fed in the media...."
Jeff Jacoby, Columnist, Boston Globe
"A Time for Truth performs an enormously valuable service.
Elliot Kramer has assembled the evidence, demolished the myths and blown away
the smoke that is so often used to distort the truth about the Israel-Arab
conflict. It is a perfect antidote to propaganda and sloppy reporting."
The Institute academic Fellows work closely with our students, on and off campus. CIJR makes possible the student-written Dateline: Middle East magazine, distributed on college and university campuses across Canada, Israel and the United States.
