Student Activities
Dateline Middle East

The Institute's Academic Fellows work closely with our students, on and off campus. CIJR makes possible the student-written Dateline: Middle East magazine, distributed on college and university campuses across Canada, Israel and the United States.

Dateline: Middle East is published quarterly by the Student Coalition for a Just Peace in the Middle East. As the only entirely studentproduced international publication on the Middle East, Dateline: Middle East provides readers worldwide with a greater understanding of the Middle East scene. Articles cover a wide variety of subjects involving the Middle East, including current developments in political, economic, and cultural affairs. As well, the journal frequently features interviews, film and book reviews and satirical cartoons. Its pages are open to a wide spectrum of informed opinion and do not require or expect conformity with any particular standpoint.

Talented student writers and artists are encouraged to submit material suitable to the guidelines listed above. No submission should exceed 1000 words. Submissions should be e-mailed to students@isranet.org.

Summer Internships Available
The Institute, a non-profit educational foundation entering its seventeenth year, is offering summer internships to dedicated students desiring to learn more about Israel and the Jewish world, and to contribute to the well-being of the Montreal Jewish, and Canadian, community.
